Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
An Energy Performance Certificate or EPC has now become a compulsory requirement for every property in the UK.
To assess the energy performance of your property NBHI use a method called RDSAP or Reduced Data Standards Assessment Process. This means we will perform the following along with other tasks, which are more specific to your property type.
Your building performance is rated in terms of the energy used per square meter of floor area, energy efficiency based on fuel costs and environmental impact based on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
We will:
Establish the age of your building and any extensions that have been added.
Measure your property either externally of internally, depending on which is more practicable to gain the volume of heated space.
Go into your loft (if possible) and ascertain the amount of loft insulation you have.
Look at your boiler and hot water cylinder, any space heating devices and controls.
Check your fixed lighting fittings.
Look for any signs of cavity wall insulation.
Retrieve all data about any renewable energy systems fitted to the building.
Ascertain the type and age of any duouble glazing.
